One more toddler bed

After the big party Joel had his first night in his big boy bed. 

We now have 3 toddler beds and NO cribs!

We had a fun birthday party this weekend for the kids. 

They loved running with the balloons!

 There were lots of presents to open.

And cake to eat!

The girls even found some dirt to play with.

And of course there were new toys to play with.

Birthday Treat

The big party is tomorrow, 

but we celebrated their birthday today with their first trip to McDonald's!

One Year Olds

Today is Joel and Alyssa's last day of being One.

What a difference a year makes!

Day at the Park

Last week we spent a morning at an animal farm with my mom. We got to see pigs, chickens, ducks, goats, and rabbits. Kaitlyn even got to ride a horse!

The park also had a splash pad. We have taken Kaitlyn to splash pads the last two summers and she has never wanted to get wet. This time she finally got wet, and loved it! It was fun to watch her running all around through the spraying water.

It was a memorable day! The last time I was at this park was two years ago, when Kaitlyn had just turned 2 and Joel and Alyssa were still in the hospital. Hopefully we make it back before another 2 years go by.

Our 4th of July

I was pretty sick on the 4th of July this year, but we decided to take the kids out for a little while anyway. We spent $10 on fireworks and off we went. Kaitlyn loved the fireworks! She laughed, jumped up and down, and was happy as could be. Joel and Alyssa screamed and wanted to be held the whole time. I decided to throw Joel and Alyssa in a swing to keep them happy while Paul and Kaitlyn did the fireworks and then everyone was (mostly) happy. Oh well, maybe next year we will all be able to enjoy the day.
